HAVE YOU
MET DANCHO?
Certified Management Consultant (CMC), MSc, ExMBA, CMgr, published
author, and the Founder & CEO of BizzBee Solutions, that’s on a mission to
make other B2B businesses grow!
Fostering the entrepreneurial spirit since early childhood, Dancho managed to make a name for himself with nothing but a big dream, a small loan and his ever kindling passion for growth. He’s dedicated his life and career to helping and consulting fellow B2B SMEs, start-ups and entrepreneurs. He knew that there is much more to generating leads and building meaningful relationships with potential clients. With his proven ZZ framework, he transformed outbound lead generation to perfection. The 450+ consultants, agencies, and software providers he has helped testify to his triumphant outreach tale.
SO HOW DID IT ALL GET STARTED?
Dancho was born and raised in Kavadarci, a small town in the Tikvesh region, the heart of North Macedonia’s wine country. Like many of his acquaintances back then, like to say, his entrepreneurial spark shone brightly from the very beginning.
His business skills came to light when he got back from a family vacation in Bulgaria. This peculiar 8-year-old brought ten kilos of sweets back to his home country and exploited the classmate market opportunity. He became rich and famous in just a few days.
He had bartered all the sweets for pens, rulers, pencil sharpeners and other childhood riches. At that moment, he felt the buzz of being a businessman serving the ideal market.
THE MORE YOU LEARN, THE MORE YOU EARN, THE MORE HEADS YOU GET TO TURN!
As you might have guessed, Dancho isn’t one to give in to peer pressure. When all of his friends decided to pursue a career in computer programming, he remembered the childhood spark and kept his business dream alive.
He quickly acquired his Bachelor’s degree at the Faculty of Economics, “Ss. Cyril and Methodius University”. But his quest for knowledge didn’t stop there. He quenched his thirst by acquiring an MSc in Entrepreneurship degree, a Masters of Business Administration degree at Sheffield University, a Strategic Management and Leadership diploma and a CMC.
HE BUILT HIS CAREER WITH HARD WORK KINDLED BY HIS INNOVATIVE VISION
Dancho’s entrepreneurial adventures kick-started when he got a mobile marketing assignment. A new business idea arose, and his first start-up Advert SMS was born. He became World Bank global innovator for 2009, and did many speaking engagements in Brazil, India, Finland and the Balkans.
For the next three years, he was busy with his demanding full-time job responsibilities. He was working for a Dutch development organisation as an agriculture business consultant.
Then for years, Dacnho was Head of R&D at the Macedonia office for a UK software and hardware company. His freelancing gigs on the side flourished in the meantime. But even though things were starting to take shape, learning about computer back end and programming while handling multiple freelancing gigs led him to a burnout. So the hardest, life-changing decision needed to be made.
Our hero went all in, of course. He decided to quit his regular, high-paying job and focus on his true passion – freelance business consulting. They’ve become digital nomads with his fiancée Maja (now loving wife), travelling around Europe, living the freelancer’s dream.
It seemed like a real-life fairytale until one eye-opening event struck. Dancho got sick and realised this lifestyle isn’t sustainable in the long run, especially if they wanted to grow their family.
THE LIFE-CHANGING DECISION ENCOURAGED BY THE BEES!
A scary decision at first, but founding BizzBee solutions in 2016 and starting his own hive was the best path forward. From a bootstrap company in an old apartment building with four interns, and few computers, he’s scaled a self-sustainable company with more than 30 employees.
But steady growth didn’t happen overnight. BizzBee started out as a generalist company. They offered a variety of services (market research, business plan, product sourcing, lead generation, etc.) to every type of business, while solely relying on freelancing platforms.
It didn’t take long for Dancho to figure out what they needed to do – start reaching out to their ideal clients. Being fascinated by the outreach process, and motivated by all the valuable lessons learned up his sleeve, specialising in outreach was only logical. But he didn’t stop there. BizzBee niched, deciding that the high-ticket service providers, such as consultants, agencies and software providers, are the ones that they can help the most.
GETTING IN FRONT OF A LARGE AUDIENCE
here is something extremely tempting about outreach. Getting your voice heard. Not being afraid to make the first move. Engaging in conversations with wise business people. Nurturing business relationships. But to taste all this, we first need to step out of our comfort zone. And starting podcasting was maybe one of the biggest leaps Dancho made. From a simple vodcast – “The B2B Outbound Marketing & Sales Automation Series”, he quickly became the host of three other podcasts. Another video series – “Helping B2B high-ticket service providers grow – one lesson at a time”, a limited series podcast dedicated to his book – Sweet Leads, and his most treasured brainchild – Sweet Buzz.
EVERY ASTONISHING PIECE OF WORK HAS TO BE AWARDED!
Dancho has been a busy bee his whole life. And that paid off. Back in 2008, he received 2nd place in a national business plan competition organized by USA Embassy and Junior Achievement
When he started his first company with a couple of friends in college, he received the title “Global Innovator for 2009” by a World Bank initiative. As you might assume, a lot of speaking opportunities followed. Dancho spoke in Brazil, India, Finland and the Balkans, sharing his success story with the world. That led to plenty of recognition, including him being a Speaker on the 3rd infoDev Global Forum on Innovation & Entrepreneurship and Speaker on GEW (Global Entrepreneurship Week) on the topic of entrepreneurship. In 2010 AsvertSMS’s story was published as a success story on iDISC (Global Network of Business Incubators).
In October 2010, Dancho received a sponsored trip to India for the Agriculture Community of Practice (Agro-incubators) kick-off meeting within infoDev. He got a WorldBank sponsored trip to Helsinki for the 4th Global Forum on innovation and entrepreneurship a year later. In November 2020, Dancho was honoured as a judge for the event “Techstars Startup Weekend Skopje.”
But his award story surely doesn’t end here! Receiving a lot of awards and recognition both for his publishing and consulting career is a safe bet.
IT'S NOT ALL ABOUT WORK!
Workaholic that he is, Dancho still manages to find some time to do the non-business related things he enjoys. Family always comes first. BizzBee’s Co-Founder, Dancho’s loving wife Maja is always here to support him and be his guiding light. She gave him the most valuable treasure there is – their 4-year old son – Metodija. When things in the business world get rough, Metodija’s smile saves the day.
It comes as no surprise that Dancho is a proud member of the 5 AM club. The perfect start of the day? Practicing yoga with the first morning sunrays, and taking a long walk in nature while listening to his favourite podcasts. But Dancho is not such a goody two shoes. He loves to indulge in the occasional pint paired with a juicy burger.
